Brother and Sister, leaving their home in County Mayo, Ireland, and settling with Aunt Bridget Davis, her husband Barney Davis, and their young daughter Catherine Davis in the Village of Coray Hollow (south of Minooka & north of Moosic) Scranton, Pennsylvania. Leaving their parents, Thomas and Anna Hennigan, and sister Bridget back in Ireland.

THE FIRST YEAR IN SCRANTON
The 1880 Census lists the E.D. (Enumeration District 45) Minooka, PA, which lists The Village of Coray Hollow as part of their E.D. With that information, I am including a link to MINOOKA (PA) MEMORIES. This is quite an interesting read about the history of the area in which Edward Joseph Hennigan and Catherine Hennigan called home upon arrival to the United States.
Of special note in this article, was; "Many of the early residents were members of St. Peter's Cathedral Parish and it was said of them that when they walked three miles to religious service they never missed and were rarely late." NOTE: That is 3.3 miles EACH WAY, and approximately an hour walk each way.
